Job Description:
Provides hospital conference rooms with necessary A/V equipment and troubleshooting support. Offers basic assistance in the auditorium and other designated areas. Schedules and maintains appearance of education rooms. Sets up chairs and tables as needed for functions and provides basic clean up.
Position is M-F 6:30am-3pm onsite at the Utah Valley Hospital Education Center, occasionally there will be evening or weekend events and other programs at various Utah Valley Intermountain facilities.
Job Essentials
1. Sets up conference rooms throughout the facility with requested table and chair configurations while collaborating effectively with other departments. Maintains the physical appearance of all educational rooms on a daily basis. Closely works with education class coordinators in fulfilling urgent requests.
2. Coordinates with Environmental Services and manager when set-ups or takedowns need to be accomplished after leaving for the day.
3. Sets up AV equipment for conference rooms, including, TV/VCR/DVD combos, camcorders, LCDs and sound equipment. Troubleshoots repairs, cleans and solves problems with A/V equipment.
4. Meets often with stakeholders to plan for special events in facility, discuss issues of concern regarding A/V equipment maintenance and repair.
5. Efficiently schedules and reserves A/V equipment and core education classrooms. Communicates with managers and staff via e-mail, phone and direct contact. Resolves any potential conflicts which arise.
6. May provide support and programming for the CCTV and Conference Call Equipment.
7. May provide backup support for other technical areas and/or simulations labs in the facility or hospital.
8. Maintains and repairs AV equipment and ensures equipment is in good working order.
9. Responds to all requests in support of the overall function of the hospital and/or facility.
Minimum Qualifications
One year experience in the audio/visual field.

Demonstrated computer skills and experience working with word processing, spreadsheets, databases, windows and internet applications.
- and -
Demonstrated ability to maneuver, set-up and troubleshoot equipment.

Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as necessary.
