Our company is seeking a dynamic and experienced AV/Home Automation Technician to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to work in the exciting and fast-paced world of home automation. This role requires a deep understanding of various systems including Crestron, Lutron, home automation, lighting controls, video surveillance, data systems, phone systems, audio video, and home security. As an AV/Home Automation Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting these systems, ensuring that our clients receive the best possible service.
Responsibilities:
1. Install, maintain, and troubleshoot various systems including alarm.com, Crestron, Lutron, home automation, lighting controls, video surveillance, data systems, phone systems, audio video, and home security.
2. Work closely with the construction team to integrate home automation systems into the overall design and construction of the home.
3. Provide technical support and problem-solving services to clients, responding quickly and professionally to any issues or complaints.
4. Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in home automation technology and suggest new tools and techniques to improve our services.
5. Conduct regular inspections of installed systems to ensure they are functioning correctly and safely.
6. Provide training and guidance to clients on how to use their home automation systems.
7. Regularly communicate with project managers and other team members to provide updates and feedback on project progress.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience as an AV/Home Automation Technician or in a similar role.
2. Proven experience with systems such as Crestron, Lutron, home automation, lighting controls, video surveillance, cable, data systems, phone systems, audio video, and home security.
3. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
4. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical clients.
5. Up-to-date knowledge of the latest advancements in home automation technology.
6. A customer-focused approach, with the ability to provide high-quality service to clients.
7. Ability to work well in a team and coordinate with other professionals in the construction industry.
8. Physically able to perform the duties of the job, including lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.
9. A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various job sites.
