We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly experienced Attorney specializing in Workers Compensation to join our reputable legal team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a significant impact in the lives of our clients, offering legal support and counsel to those who have been injured on the job. The successful candidate will handle a robust caseload from inception to resolution, providing expert advice and representation in all areas of workers compensation law.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Attorney-Workers Comp, you will be expected to:
1. Manage a caseload of workers compensation cases, effectively handling all aspects from inception to resolution.
2. Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in workers compensation claims.
3. Conduct research and analysis of legal problems, interpreting laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
4. Prepare and draft legal documents, such as wills, deeds, patent applications, mortgages, leases, and contracts.
5. Guide clients through the legal process, ensuring they understand their rights and responsibilities.
6. Negotiate settlements on behalf of your clients, striving for the best possible outcome in each case.
7. Stay up-to-date on the latest laws and regulations related to workers compensation, ensuring our firm's practices are always compliant.
8. Collaborate with a team of legal professionals, sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance the overall performance of our firm.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates should meet the following criteria:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Must be an active member in good standing with the State Bar.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in handling workers compensation cases.
4. Proven track record of successfully negotiating and settling workers compensation claims.
5. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly explain complex legal matters to clients.
6. Strong research and analytical skills, with an in-depth understanding of workers compensation laws and regulations.
7. High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
8. Ability to manage a large caseload, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
9. Proficiency with legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
