Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all stages of litigation, including pleadings, motions, discovery, pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal processes.
- Handle a broad range of real estate disputes, including commercial and residential property disputes, landlord-tenant conflicts, and zoning issues.
- Provide expert legal advice to clients on complex real estate litigation matters.
- Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in real estate litigation.
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients where appropriate.
- Collaborate with colleagues to devise effective litigation strategies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legal developments and trends in real estate litigation.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a real estate litigator.
- Must be a licensed attorney in good standing with the New York State Bar.
- Proven trial experience is essential.
- Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to resolve complex disputes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining the highest level of professional and ethical standards.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
