$90,000 - $135,000 yearly
Responsibilities:- Supervise administrative staff, paralegals, and law clerks
- Draft correspondence, legal pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Represent clients in court to argue motions during legal proceedings
- Analyze client needs, identify solutions, and determine case strategies
- Manage a caseload of first-party property insurance claims from inception through resolution, including conducting detailed case assessments and developing effective litigation strategies.
- Provide radical customer service experience to clients by providing case updates, gathering necessary information, and offering legal advice. Prepare and present case evaluations and legal recommendations.
- Perform comprehensive legal research to support case preparation and strategy. Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
- Represent clients in court appearances, including hearings, trials, and mediations. Argue motions and present evidence before judges and juries.
- Engage in settlement negotiations with opposing counsel, insurance companies, and other relevant parties. Develop negotiation strategies to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
- Advanced computer skills working with legal research programs (Westlaw and Lexis) required
- Successful completion of accredited law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree with 2 years of related experience
- Work independently while handling a heavy caseload
- Ability to use Microsoft Office is required
- 2-4 years of recent experience in First-Party Property Insurance required.
- Licensed member of the Florida Bar Association required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience in a law firm environment.
- Communication, problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal, and public speaking skills required.
- Able to work independently while handling multiple files.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Google Suite is necessary.
