About the Job
We are seeking an experienced Corporate Attorney with expertise in IT, privacy, security, and intellectual property law to provide complex legal advice and support to our organization. This role will focus on third-party contract reviews, Statements of Work (SOW), vendor management, and addressing a variety of IT related legal matters, including data privacy, security, e-commerce, AI, and data governance. Additionally, the Corporate Attorney will serve as the legal representative for the PEAC, Information Security, and Business Continuity Committees and provide legal support across multiple business functions.

What You'll Do:
- Provide legal guidance on IT, privacy, data security, intellectual property, and business services through research, drafting, and review of legal documents.
- Negotiate and finalize contracts, software licenses, and vendor agreements, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Advise on relevant federal and state statutes, focusing on IT, data privacy, and security to mitigate legal risks.
- Support cybersecurity initiatives, assisting with risk mitigation and incident response.
- Review and negotiate commercial contracts, acting as liaison with customers and vendors.
- Draft and negotiate service agreements and SOWs, providing legal advice on workflows.
- Provide general legal support, advising on operational legal matters and responding internal inquiries.
What You'll Need:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing.
- 5+ years of experience as an attorney in a corporate or service provider environment, with strong expertise in contract law, IT legal matters, and intellectual property.
- Demonstrated experience in contract negotiation, drafting, and compliance, particularly within technology, data privacy, and security sectors.
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to data privacy, IT security, and intellectual property.
- Proven ability to manage cybersecurity risk assessments, incident reporting, and response actions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer-focused, problem-solving approach.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in commercial banking.
- Familiarity with the registration and protection of intellectual property, including trademarks, service marks, and copyrights.
- Knowledge of legal considerations in business continuity, cybersecurity, and information security.
