We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Attorney specializing in Business Litigation to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a substantial background in employment law and a minimum of 5 years of experience in business litigation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex legal issues, contribute to our organization's strategic goals, and make a significant impact in our company's legal endeavors.
Responsibilities:
1. Represent the organization in business litigation matters before courts, arbitrators, and mediators.
2. Research and analyze complex legal issues related to business litigation and employment law.
3. Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents including pleadings, discovery requests and responses, settlement agreements, and corporate contracts.
4. Provide legal advice and counseling to the organization on a wide range of business and employment matters, including compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
5. Develop and implement legal strategies that align with the organization's business objectives.
6. Collaborate with other attorneys in the legal department and cross-functional teams across the organization.
7. Manage relationships with external counsel and oversee their work to ensure high-quality legal representation for the organization.
8. Stay current on developments in business litigation and employment law and advise the organization on potential legal implications.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in business litigation with a focus on employment law.
4. Proven track record of representing clients in complex business litigation matters.
5. Strong legal research and writing skills.
6. Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to represent the organization effectively in a variety of settings.
7. Ability to work independently and in a team, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
8. Strong understanding of federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to business litigation and employment.
9. High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
10. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive information.
