MDVIP, based in Boca Raton, FL is seeking a remote-based Athena EHR Implementation Project Manager to support our MDVIP-affiliated physician practices and lead multiple Athena Electronic Health Record (EHR) onboarding projects simultaneously.
EHR project management includes developing and managing the overall system implementation plan while providing guidance of best practices to the physician and office staff throughout the implementation process. Project management is generally provided telephonically and via web-based screen sharing.

Responsibilities:
Plans, leads, monitors and executes multiple EHR transition/conversion plans with affiliated physicians based on their business and technical needs, as well as the EHR’s capabilities to ensure the implementation plan will successfully meet the physician’s business requirements for a successful outcome.
Works closely with various internal teams to ensure a successful client onboarding experience.
Facilitates data conversion through vendors where electronic data conversion is possible. Attends weekly vendor calls to monitor the physician’s progress and guides physicians to complete data mapping & QA in timely manner in preparation for go-live.
Ensures accurate and best practices are followed during implementation.
Identifies, resolves risks and issues in a timely manner. Escalates concerns to the project team and management, when appropriate.

Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or PMP Certification preferred and at least 2 years related business experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience where two years related experience equals one year of schooling.
Required Skills:
- Specific experience with athenaClinicals required.
- Previous experience with project management of software implementations, preferably EMR, PMS, Pharmacy desired.
- Customer service experience
- Medical office clinical workflow experience.
- Possess the organizational skills and attention to detail to successfully manage complex projects.
- Ability to interpret, document, adapt and apply business requirements.
- Self-starter with the ability to take on new challenges.
- Ability to self-manage, monitor, and track key performance indicators.
Telecommuter roles: This role is approved for home-based work, from the location identified at the time of hire. Remote staff must have an adequate, confidential workspace available to efficiently perform their job functions. Any change of work location, even on a short-term or interim basis, must be reviewed by the Supervisor and HR and approved at the sole discretion and approval of executive leadership.
