Solution architect for ATG Ecommerce Project in Retail industry
Overall 10+ years in Java/J2EE with 7+ Years of ATG Experience
Strong Design and Architecture experience in ecommerce landscape
Should be able to create blueprint designs / architecture landscape's for complex eco systems and with ability to deliver solutions in business and IT forums
Hands on experience in Core Java, Java/JEE skills like JSP, Servlets, JDBC, EJB, JMS, XML, Webservices, HTML, JavaScript, XML, HTTP/HTTPS,JDBC, Java API
Strong experience in ATG, Subversion, Ant, Solaris, JBoss
Hands on experience in ATG Commerce Server, ATG form handlers and droplets
Thorough knowledge of ATG platform flow, structure and process (ATG commerce, BCC and CSC)
Demonstrated hands on ability in architecture, design and development of scalable, complex Java / JEE software applications
Expert knowledge of latest architecture frameworks and design patterns with demonstrated technical leadership in engineering, design and deployment of applications employing enterprise architectures
At least 2-3 years of hands-on expertise in designing and architecting experience on ATG Platforms (ATG version 2007.1 and above)
Database Programming Skill and exposure to popular databases Oracle
Hands-on jBoss Application server
Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) -Preferred
End-to-end experience in software development life-cycle and familiar with agile methodologies
Project leadership skills for managing a track of work and defining a comprehensive solution leading toward a common vision
Minimum 5 years as ATG Sol architect ( total of 10+ years of IT experience)
Ability to work well with different staff levels within and out of core competency.
Ability to translate highly technical solutions/problems to audiences at varying technical levels.
Strong ability to prepare and present technical documentation.
Communicates in a professional manner when interacting across staff levels and internal/external customers.
Understands the importance of communicating risk assessment.
Serve as the architect for architecture, design and interface decisions related to Customer's eCommerce solution
Own the architecture and technology stack for the eCommerce solution and guide our technology partners to build the right solution
Work with key members of the management team to define and drive technical strategy and architectural direction for the eCommerce solution
Assess, recommend, build and integrate with best-of-breed, off-the-shelf commercial and open-source software components
To meet business needs, review and recommend technologies from both global software providers, open source as well as in-country specialized products, for inclusion into the platform
Assess feasibility and ramifications of new business requirements. Design appropriate solutions and recommend alternative approaches when necessary
Stay abreast of advancements in eCommerce technologies in order to determine relevance and possible impact to existing system
Recommend and drive adoption of engineering best practices, including use of design patterns, code reviews and automated unit testing
