Job Summary:
The Senior Accountant / Assistant Controller is responsible for overseeing financial reporting, general ledger management, internal controls, and assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. This role supports the Controller in maintaining accurate financial records and ensures compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure accurate period closings and reconciliations.
- General Ledger: Oversee GL integrity, review journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis.
- Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, taxes, and regulations. Support audits.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow and manage accounts payable/receivable.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
- Process Improvement: Recommend and implement process improvements for efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, CPA preffered
- Experience: 5-7 years in accounting/finance, including supervisory experience.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, ERP systems (QuickBooks, SAP, etc.), and advanced Excel skills.
- Soft Skills: Attention to detail, strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
