Humana IT is seeking an Associate Vice President to lead Productivity, one of our highest-profile initiatives. The Associate VP provides data-based strategic direction to identify and address business issues and opportunities. Provides business intelligence and strategic planning support for business segments or the company at large. The Associate VP requires a in-depth understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across segments and/or enterprise-wide.
Humana IT is seeking an Associate Vice President to lead Productivity, one of our highest-profile initiatives. Its goal is to generate significant run-rate value through IT productivity programs related to software, infrastructure, labor, and other areas. This role shapes and drives Humana's technology productivity strategy, streamlining our operational costs to enable an increased focus on innovation. The AVP will work directly with IT leadership including the CIO, and report to the VP of IT Strategy and Transformation. This individual will lead the Productivity Enablement Office, serving as enterprise leader for all IT productivity efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategy:
+ Identify and design roadmaps to realize greater tech productivity across all IT spend, including but not limited to labor, software, and infrastructure.
+ Define necessary technology investments, driving prioritization and planning.
+ Establish, activate, and execute Humana's IT cost savings and avoidance programs.
+ Communicate, present, and influence at an executive level, in group and 1:1 settings.
+ Sustain transformation of related processes, behaviors, and skills. This includes joint transformation with Finance, Vendor Management, and Human Resources.
Operations:
+ Establish joint IT and business metrics for productivity.
+ Track all IT productivity-related efforts (both cross-IT programs and efforts managed by specific areas), from ideation to operation. Track and realize cost efficiencies with Finance.
+ Lead a small, centralized team driving the IT productivity initiative.
+ Guide partner teams that enable cost data quality, structure, and related insights.
+ Shape how IT and the enterprise addresses talent opportunities related to productivity.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
Education:
+ Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering, economics/finance, or similar.
Experience:
+ 10+ years in large-scale IT management from strategy to execution, particularly in operational cost productivity or tech financial management.
+ Leadership within a matrixed organization, through both influence and direct management.
+ Background in making strategic cost decisions related to IT operational cost efficiency.
Skills:
+ Clear written and verbal communication.
+ Conceptual and data-based problem solving.
+ Financial acumen, especially in tech productivity best practices.
+ Ability to work in an environment of transformation and change.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience at a management consulting firm.
+ Experience in the healthcare or insurance industries.
+ Accounting experience, with or without certification.
+ A Master’s or Doctorate in a relevant discipline.
+ Experience with Agile practices and tooling.

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$181,200 - $249,300 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
