Description
Currently seeking an Associate Vice President of Operations. Reporting to Vice President of operations, the AVP, Operations will oversee the Site Operations Directors and Managers for all clinical locations. AVP, Operations works closely with the Site Operations Directors and Managers, Site Medical Director, Director of Nursing and Patient care, Clinical Nursing Managers to provide leadership to all staff in the assigned clinical and administrative site(s). Plans, develops, and implements systems that ensure smooth clinical support operations. Works collaboratively with the medical staff and all other departments to ensure that the goals of the Health Center are accomplished.
Strategy and Operations: Provides high-level guidance to ensure high-quality care for assigned operational service line and special projects; works with executive team to integrate clinical and operational imperatives into enterprise-level strategy. Ensures robust financial and operational plan to design, pilot, launch and scale patient service line and special projects as assigned. Leads product roadmap design and implementation.
Operational Design: Serves as a centralized function to coordinate improved operational design & innovation initiatives across the service line to enable efficiency and standardization; builds and communicates new operational business models for all administrative support that can support patient care models and goals for organizational excellence and growth.
Medical Affairs: Collaborates with clinicians and other clinical support staff to deliver, safe, efficient and patient centric Care.
- Supporting executive leaders in establishing an adaptive strategic and operational plan to assigned service line/special projects, product roadmap and multi-year framework to establish the 'north star', anchor decision making, and drive results.
- Supporting all lines-of-business and functional areas and facilitating alignment and prioritization of strategic activity to achieve Operational and organizational goals.
- Managing Operational Outcomes & Care Design's strategic planning and roadmap activity, multi-year strategic plan, Innovation, and caregiver direct reports.
- Driving strategic partnership with our operations and clinicians to maintain open lines of communication, collaborate on joint-provider strategy and initiatives, and cross-beneficial innovation.
- Ensures implementation of evidence based best practices across the system.
- Collaborates with Site Operations Managers/Directors to formulate and review policies, establish procedures and standards to eliminate problems in the areas of patient care, work flow and to enhance quality and consistency of patient care.
- Collaborates with the Site Operations Directors/Managers in ongoing quality improvement programs to ensure that quality safety and appropriateness of services are evaluated, monitored and appropriate actions taken.
- Analyzes productivity and allocation of staff time and recommends changes in systems to increase efficiency and productivity. (Participates in the development and oversight of program budgets.)
- Oversees the completion of the department budget in collaboration with Site Operations Managers/Directors and Medical Site Directors. Reviews revenue and costs on a monthly basis and recommends changes as necessary to stay within budget. Cost saving measures are identified and implemented.
Qualifications
Experience
- Healthcare professional with at least ten years of experience in ambulatory health care, particularly in health centers.
- Must work well within a multidisciplinary team and have excellent interpersonal, computer and personnel management skills. Willing and able to learn from and teach others.
- Ten years’ experience and/or training in management/supervision strongly preferred. Computer skills including Word, Excel, and Preferable Vision. Bilingual preferred. Familiarity with Latino Community in Lawrence and commitment to the under-served strongly preferred.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in health related area, required. Master’s degree preferred.
