The Associate Director, Performance Creative Strategy will support our client, which is a global tech and leading software company for creative professionals. This is a hybrid opportunity based in our Chicago office, and you will be able to come in 1-2 days a week. There is about 25% travel required. You will lead the strategy across media and creative disciplines and be the connective tissue between our teams. This includes developing the strategic briefs and test approaches, working with the creative & media teams to ensure accurate and high-quality execution. Your experience with data will help you organize and pull insights.
You will gather data from multiple sources and report findings to clients and our teams to determine appropriate next steps. You will lead workshops and brainstorming sessions, demonstrating client management skills and facilitating discussions that consider our client's goals and best practices.
The Associate Director will report to the Director, Performance Creative and will support the team in strategic planning and research methods. You will guide the team to develop into critical thinkers and how to solve for our client goals. We offer the opportunity to create innovative strategies using leading industry technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Develop creative test strategies and roadmaps, including coordinating with other agency teams to ensure the sound execution and measurement of test plan recommendations.
- Lead the development of creative briefs that outline a strategy and project's goals which includes goals, requirements, target audiences, creative deliverables and developing messaging, creative considerations, and positioning for brands.
- Use insight tools to develop meaningful audience insights that inspire relevance into creative implementation.
- Understand and organize client challenges to find solutions that extend the brand through the full-funnel experience and lead better performance.
- Work with media teams to understand their channel strategies and audience breakdowns for proper full funnel activation.
- Work with the Accounts and PMs to ensure tracking of tasks and deliverables are met.
- Work with creative teams to translate client challenges into inspiring creative strategies, ensuring the creative is on strategy and aligned with expectations.
- Operate as a solutions architect, sitting centrally between several Dentsu services (creative, customer strategy, analytics, media, data, research, and technology).
- Work with a diverse team of creative strategists on developing ideas, content programs, and enabling technology blueprints.
- Build decision trees to visualize the logic behind how a message is served to select consumers.
- Ensure accurate quoting for the finance and leadership teams for projects.
Qualifications:
- 6+ years' experience in a marketing position.
- 3+ years' experience developing performance and creative strategies.
- Excellent knowledge of Dynamic Creative Optimization and working with a DCO platform.
- Bachelor’s degree in business related field.
- Experience with motivating clients, our teams or other strategists to approach solving marketing challenges in new and improved ways.
- Translate data, uncover insights that inform strategic communication planning and execution.
- A compelling storyteller, endlessly curious and questioning, with an ability to shift perspectives and reveal valuable insights and creative opportunities through data and collaborative narratives with all levels of the agency and its partners to achieve growth.
- Well versed in multiple marketing research tools and methodologies – from new ways of applying technology to conduct primary research, a deep working knowledge of 3rd party research, secondary research and social listening.
- A demonstrated fluency working with multiple agency disciplines including direct mail, media, social, content, UX, analytics, and technology.
Additional Information:
The anticipated salary range for this position is $78,000 - $126,500. Salary is based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
