Boys & Girls Clubs of the Peninsula (BGCP) proudly stands as the largest expanded learning provider in San Mateo County, dedicated to empowering 5,400 TK-College students across 29 sites from East Palo Alto to Daly City. As the Associate Site Director at one of our school-based programs within one of the school districts that we serve, you will ensure a high-quality school-based expanded learning time program is delivered for all K-8 grade students, in collaboration with families, and school partners, every day after school during the academic year as well as during the summer program. You will coach and support instructors to build and maintain strong relationships with students, families, and school partners. You will collaborate with the School Site Director to ensure the program is implemented with fidelity and consistency and is driving school success outcomes for students.
- Communication Skills: Ability to effectively convey ideas clearly, listen actively to diverse perspectives, and adapt communication style to various audiences, both in verbal and written communication.
- Critical Thinking: Ability to analyze complex situations, make informed decisions, and solve problems effectively. It involves evaluating information, considering various perspectives, and making sound judgments that align with BGCP's mission and goals.
- Program Leadership: Ability to inspire and guide teams in delivering high-quality youth programs. It involves setting a clear vision, fostering a positive culture, modeling effective behaviors, and effectively managing staff & resources to achieve programmatic goals.
- Project Management: Ability to effectively plan, organize, and execute multiple initiatives simultaneously to achieve specific goals within the program. It includes skills in setting objectives, managing resources, and ensuring timely completion.
- Supervision & Staff Development: Ability to effectively supervise program staff. Providing ongoing coaching and support to ensure staff are well-equipped to work with youth.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the logistical aspects of program day (maintain daily schedules).
- Communicate with students and caregivers regarding enrollment, attendance, and incident/accident reports as needed.
- Collaborate with site director to create and enforce clear expectations and standards of excellence for students and staff.
- Collaborate with site director to create and enforce daily "deliverables" or tasks for staff to complete each day that contribute to the overall success of program.
- Create system for turning in and reviewing staff lesson plans.
- Conduct weekly or bi-weekly observation of staff during programming.
- Facilitate weekly or bi-weekly 1v1 meetings with YPLs for assessing and evaluating performance, providing constructive feedback, and implementing performance improvement plans when necessary.
- Collaborate with instructional coach and site leader to determine weekly program goals and focuses.
- Create and maintain systems for staff recognition & celebration.
- Collaborate with site leader to plan staff outings/socials.
- Collaborate with site team to create member incentive & recognition system(s).
- Perform additional relevant duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Commitment to BGCP’s mission and vision and working with K-8 youth.
- B.S. degree or 5 years of equivalent experience.
- A minimum of one-year successful experience in an educational environment.
- Experience building relationships with diverse youth communities and constituents.
- Ability to motivate through positive reinforcement.
- Strong communication skills.
- Flexible in navigating a fast-paced environment.
- Preferred one year of experience working with K-8 youth.
- Spanish fluency is a plus.
LOCATION:
- Bayshore Elementary School, Daly City, CA.
WORK SCHEDULE:
- Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday: 10:00am - 7:00pm.
- Wednesday & Friday: 9:30am-6:30pm.
SALARY & BENEFITS:
- Employment Status: Full-Time Salary.
- Pay Range: $65,000-$75,000, depending on experience (DOE).

ONBOARDING PROCESS:
- BGCP will cover all onboarding process requirements.
- Complete LiveScan and Checkr background check.
- Undergo a TB test.
- Participate in mandatory onboarding training sessions.
