ASSISTANT PROPERTY MANAGER
Respected real-estate organization seeks a candidate to assist with the day-to-day operations of a substantial residential portfolio. The Assistant Property Manager is responsible for assisting the Property Manager with all aspects of his/her job, as well as any and all other tasks, duties and responsibilities required for the satisfactory fulfillment of the position, in accordance with departmental and management needs.
The individual we are in search of is responsible, organized, and self-motivated, with a minimum of 2 years of related work experience is required, preferably in a real estate or property management firm, together with a BA or BS degree, ideally in Business Administration, Architecture, Real Estate Management, or a related field, and should display an interest in a career in the field of Property Management.
Skill set:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong computer skills (Word; Excel; PowerPoint; Adobe; etc.)
Strong general administrative and/or clerical capabilities (typing; filing; answering phones; dealing with outside and inside customers; etc.).
Highly developed organizational and prioritization skills and the ability to function effectively in a high-pressure, deadline-oriented work environment
Responsibilities will include:
Tenant Relations
Vacancies
Orders appliances for vacancies and occupied apartments
Managing service request and boiler service forms
Boiler Service Forms
Additional duties and responsibilities as determined by the Managing Agent.
Assume Managing Agent duties and responsibilities when the Managing Agent is out of the office.
Liaison between Superintendent and Managing Agent
Measures of Accountability:
In accordance with the guidelines described above. The Assistant Property Manager will be held accountable for the following expectations:
Timely, accurate and proactive completion of all tasks, duties and responsibilities outlined above
Assistance provided to Residential Managing Agent helps in the establishment and maintenance to the highest degree possible of good relations between Management and tenants, as well as with outside contractors, vendors, and others
Coordinates with Residential Managing Agent to ensure efficient building operations, and effective utilization and deployment of building personnel, in coordination with Building Superintendent and Department Head
