About the Job
L.J. Gonzer Associates is looking for individuals to join our pool of qualified candidates for potential assignment as an Associate Project Manager.
- Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assisting with field inspections to evaluate the work performed and materials used; verifying quality of workmanship, quality of materials used, and compliance with plans, specifications, estimates and applicable codes and regulations; and documenting deficiencies and deviations from plans
- General office administration, including report reproduction, collation and deliveries
- Coordinate/document the work and progress of construction project
- Ensure specifications are followed with emphasis on quality and safety
- Assist the Construction Manager in evaluating change order proposals, reviewing contractor submittals and preparing comprehensive daily reports
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, engineering technology, architecture, architectural technology, landscape architecture, business administration, or public administration
- One year of full-time satisfactory experience in project management work, such as planning, administering, managing, coordinating, or expediting, for engineering and/or architectural and/or landscape architectural projects
- 10 Hour OSHA
- Civil/Structural engineering degree and experience preferred
- Knowledge of codes, standards and equipment
- Excellent Skills with MS (Word, Access and Excel)
- Knowledge of construction scheduling and estimating preferable
