Job Summary:
The Associate Project Manager plays a pivotal role in facilitating the planning, execution, and successful culmination of projects, guided by the Project Manager. This position requires a proactive and organized individual equipped with robust communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the capability to collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams. By assisting in the coordination of project activities, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely and within-scope project delivery, the Associate Project Manager contributes significantly to the overall success of the projects. Responsibilities encompass supporting project managers, ensuring on-time and within-budget project delivery, all while prioritizing the delivery of exceptional customer service. This is a Full-Time, In-Person position out of our Houston, TX 77021 office.
Job Responsibilities:
- Act as a point of contact with general contractors, representatives, dealers, and clients, ensuring effective communication regarding project updates, changes, and milestones.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and reports.
- Work closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure that project tasks align with overall business objectives.
- Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure that project deliverables meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Conduct regular reviews of project work to identify and address any quality issues promptly.
- Proactively address challenges and obstacles to keep the project on track.
- Implement process improvements based on feedback and experiences from previous projects.
- Utilize advanced software tools, including SalesForce, AutoCAD, and Autoquotes, to enhance project management efficiency and effectiveness.
- Address and resolve customer concerns or issues to ensure a high level of client satisfaction.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Project Management) preferred.
- 1+ Years work experience in the construction management, manufacturing or Food Service Equipment Industry.
- PMP, PgMP, CAPM, and/or comparable project management certifications are highly desirable.
Required Skills/ Abilities:
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software (SalesForce/AutoCAD/Autoquotes).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
- Strong working knowledge of common computer platforms including Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Teams.
