About the Job
Eastern Shore based Commercial Marine Construction Company is looking for a qualified individual who is well-organized, has excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask. A successful candidate is a team player that has 3+ years’ experience in purchasing, contract administration, and project management/coordination.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage project documentation including RFI’s, submittals, change orders, and recording meeting minutes.
- Assist the estimating team with material takeoffs.
- Create purchase orders.
- Review/approve supplier invoices.
- Provide coordination between field and office staff for quality assurance.
- Assist with time and material change orders.
- Communication with prospective clients and current clients.
- Work with field management to generate monthly invoices for open projects.
- Manage compliance with government regulations and contract specifications.
- Monitor job costs for accuracy and performance to budget.
- Assist with project scheduling.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or two-year degree in construction or another technical related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience performing similar functions with marine or a heavy civil contractor.
- Working knowledge of Spreadsheets, and MS-Office (Outlook/Word/Excel), Scheduling and Project Management Software, CMiC experience is a plus.
- Effective in both field and office environments.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer service skills.
