We are seeking an experience Associate Program Manager to be responsible for managing a portfolio of Programs within Calspan. Primary job responsibilities are prioritizing and budgeting strategic initiatives, analyzing program data while managing interdependencies, generating financial reports, conducting business analysis, ensuring resource capacity and availability, and providing guidance and outlook on the financial status of the assigned programs to key stakeholders.

Responsibilities:Core Responsibilities Listed Below – Compensation and position level commensurate with education and experience.
- Business Analysis: Perform business analysis of the program portfolio. Partner with functional leaders to drive results by understanding key business drivers, developing robust budgeting and forecasting tools, modeling implications of various actions, extracting insights and recommending and driving appropriate actions.
- Optimize Profitability: Successfully manage program budgets to ensure profitability is achieved or exceeded. Ensure milestone payments are invoiced on time. Report financial and technical status to management team as required. Balance program risks and opportunities with executable strategies to meet technical requirements and budgets.
- Cross-functional Support: Serve as a liason and communicate across business units, including but not limited to, internal project teams, finance, sales, management, and subcontractors for each assigned project.
- Partner with Finance: Support program revenue recognition and cash forecasting by planning, managing, coordinating, and maintaining the financial aspects of the business's program portfolio. Monitor and control project progress to support timely resolution of project issues, scope management and delivery within the contractual period of performance.
- Contract Execution: Understand and manage contract requirements to achieve contractual acceptance/completion. Verify that all contractual deliverables are understood, coordinated, executed, and delivered on time.
Preferred Education / Experience:
- Bachelors/Masters in Engineering, or related technical discipline;
- 9+ years of Program Management experience or related discipline
- a combination of education and relevant experience equivalent to above
- To conform to U.S. export control regulations, applicant should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government.
Preferred Knowledge / Ability:
- Managed developmental aerospace or defense industry programs/projects.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
- PMP Certification.
- Leadership of engineering, program management, maintenance or other technical teams.
- Experience in the aerospace and defense industry.
- Exceptional financial acumen and technical understanding.
- Must be organized and able to meet assigned deadlines.
- Ability to develop quick rapport with current and prospective clients.
- Motivated self-starter with the ability to work well in a team setting.
- Ability to quickly adapt and change priorities while professionally managing interruptions.

The salary range provided is a general guideline. Actual pay will depend on several factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, training, and other applicable qualifications. Calspan is committed to pay transparency in compliance with applicable state and local laws.
