**Faculty job description:**
The Department of Biomedical Genetics at the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, NY is currently seeking mid-career, tenure-track faculty for faculty positions in the following areas: Biology of Aging and Biology of Aging & Cancer. The biology of aging is an area of expanding interest and strategic priority at the University and at the Wilmot Cancer Center. Scientists studying aging and aging in relation to cancer in epigenetics, genome stability, cell metabolism, stem cell biology, RNA biology, genomics and systems biology would be well suited for this position.
Candidates should hold a PhD and/or MD degree or equivalent, and have a demonstrated track record of research accomplishment in an area relevant to aging biology. New faculty will benefit from vibrant graduate/professional training programs and state of the art infrastructure and core facilities, as well as a strong Institutional commitment to career development. Academic rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience
**Qualifications:**
Ph.D. degree or equivalent
Relevant research in aging biology
Post offer Drug Screen

**Pay Range**
Pay Range: $129,000 - $175,000 Annually
_The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum annual salary for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations. Incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process._
