Overview
This Private Client Associate role is an ideal opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join a growing and respected private client team at a federally registered investment advisor managing individually managed accounts and mutual funds. This individual will serve existing and prospective clients of the firm in coordination with other members of the private client group with an exemplary degree of professionalism and compassion to which the firm is committed. A strong team player and communicator, the Private Client Service Associate will partner actively across the company’s dynamic platform to deliver an outstanding client experience. Essential functions include, but are not limited to:
- Serve as a client facing member of the Private Client Group and assist in the servicing of client relationships.
- Respond and process client service requests, such as money or securities movements received by phone, fax, and email.
- Coordinate with various custodian client service teams to facilitate client requests and transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
- Facilitate the transfer of securities into client accounts and reconcile incoming quantities and cost basis.
- Use Salesforce for database entry, report generation, data analysis and task management.
- Maintain accurate, thorough, and useful records of client interactions and requests and proactively communicate actions items and compliance matters to appropriate internal departments of the firm.
- Coordinate account opening process both internally and externally, including preparation of custodian account applications and advisory agreements as well as account set-up on internal systems.
- Ability to analyze, develop and maintain internal process for operational tasks including account opening and other related tasks.
- Research inquiries from mutual fund shareholders which have a relationship with the firm. Typical requests include copies of statements, account balances, cost basis questions and redemptions.
- Generate reports and materials for client meetings and assist with quarterly client reporting and distribution process.
- Establish web access for clients and assist with website login questions and issues.
- Liaison with various custodians to stay apprised of technology upgrades and opportunities to improve processes and client experiences.
- Assist with quarterly reporting to clients including timely delivery of management fee invoices and payment follow-up.
Education
- Experience and/or education equal to a Bachelor’s degree
Experience
- Required two years, prefer three or more years of financial services experience.
- Knowledge of investment industry, securities and mutual funds preferred.
- Client service or operations experience preferred
