Job Role: Thermal Performance Engineer

Job description:
We are looking for The Thermal Performance Engineer who will ensure that vehicle functional objectives are achieved and will recommend actions to the Product team. The selected candidate will conduct reviews of functional systems (simulation and testing), cooling systems status with program chiefs, development test planning with lab engineers, and annual hot trip execution for assigned programs.
Key Responsibilities:
+ The Engineer will also lead the communications and reporting of issues which include status updates and driving issue resolution.
+ Will be involved in proactive planning and tracking of vehicle validation, active support of aero/thermal attributes, and DVP&R test and reporting.
+ Occasionally be required to interact with members of the exterior styling studio.
Required Skills:
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering from an ABET accredited university
+ 1-2 years of relevant engineering experience
+ Chauffeur’s License or interest and ability to get one
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience with thermal development, HVAC, or cooling systems
+ Proficient with data acquisition systems
+ Experience with drive cell / wind tunnel testing
+ Experience working with and directing bargaining unit mechanics
+ Ability to work with multi-functional teams
+ Class A Commercial Driver License
