About the Job
A recognized services organization in New Jersey is looking to add a new Associate Manager of Payroll to their growing team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the daily administration of assignments of payroll agreement and non-agreement staff and their related duties and performance
- Acquire proficiency with the terms and content of various agreement contracts and Corporate Policies and effectively administer the included provisions as it relates to employee's pay, benefits and leave
- Collaborate and support department manager(s) in processing of payroll functions required to produce scheduled and requested pays (both Regular Cycle and Off-Cycle) including accurate deductions and taxes and resolution of system issues thereby ensuring timely and accurate payroll delivery
- Oversee all pension plans offered to employees, including Railroad Retirement, PERS, PFRS, contribution plans and benefit plans.
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 4 years of applied progressive experience in Financial Management; 2+ years of recent experience managing Payroll agreement and non-agreement staff
- Associate Degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related area
- Proficiency using computerized payroll systems
- Intermediate level proficiency or higher with MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills
