Atrium is partnering with a large restaurant and hospitality company headquartered in Orlando, FL. Our client has both US and international locations and continues growing and expanding its footprint. They are looking to add an Associate Manager of Lease Accounting to their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$90k – $115k
Position Overview:
The Associate Manager of Lease Accounting will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of lease accounting, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, and providing accurate financial reporting related to the company’s lease portfolio. This role requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of lease accounting principles, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Responsibilities of the Associate Manager of Lease Accounting:
- Oversee the accounting and financial reporting for all lease-related transactions in accordance with GAAP and other relevant standards.
- Ensure accurate recording of lease obligations, including rent, lease incentives, variable lease payments, and lease modifications.
- Monitor and reconcile lease-related accounts, including lease liabilities and right-of-use assets.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual lease accounting reports to support financial statement disclosures.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of lease accounting activities.
- Develop and maintain lease accounting policies and procedures in alignment with best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies related to lease accounting.
- Coordinate with internal and external Auditors to provide necessary documentation and support during audit reviews.
- Work closely with the Real Estate, Legal, and Operations teams to ensure accurate lease data and resolve any lease-related discrepancies.
Qualifications for the Associate Manager of Lease Accounting:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting with at least one year of supervisory experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software, Word, Excel, and Office.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
