SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation is seeking a collaborative, relationship-driven, and detail-oriented Associate Manager of Corporate Development. The Associate is primarily responsible for effective administration, project management, and fundraising associated with select Global Partnerships, Corporate Sponsorships, and Corporate Memberships in support of the Guggenheim Museum. This key individual will support leadership in the Corporate Development department with the identification, solicitation, and stewardship of corporate prospects, preparation of sponsorship proposals and budgets, fulfillment of contractual benefits and donor requests, on-site implementation of sponsored programs, and general administration of assigned projects. WORK SCHEDULE: 40 Hours per Week, Schedule TBD
POSITION TYPE: Full-time, Non-Exempt. This position is covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement with Local 2110 UAW.
SALARY RANGE: $62,000 - $67,000 Annually

SKILL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- 3-4 years of business development experience in a cultural institution, nonprofit organization, or agency environment is required, ideally with a focus on corporate support.
- Prior experience in the development, planning, and implementation of concurrent external-facing projects and events with multiple deliverables.
- Possess an understanding of the philanthropic landscape and the fundamental principles of nonprofit organizations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including client stewardship.
- Ability to interact and form strong professional relationships with a wide variety of people within and outside the museum. Professionally represent the institution and its programs across a range of circumstances in a diplomatic manner.
- Ideal candidate is a problem-solver, highly organized, detail-oriented, and works collaboratively.
- Ability to handle sensitive fundraising topics with discretion and care.
- Excellent proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Suite: One Drive, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams, as well as Zoom, Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce, and Winmo.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus but not required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Work collaboratively with members of the Corporate Development team to achieve annual fundraising goals and manage and provide support on projects within the assigned portfolio.
- Prepare articulate and compelling solicitation communications, visually compelling and data-driven sponsorship proposals, and detailed budgets for corporate prospects as assigned.
- Track and fulfill deliverables for assigned Global Partners, Corporate Sponsors and select Corporate Members; serve as liaison between Legal, Communications, Special Events, and Curatorial departments, and external stakeholders.
- Proactively conduct prospect research to identify and cultivate potential donors, utilizing various research tools and historical data.
- Organize internal and external meetings relating to sponsored projects including related agendas and briefing forms.
- Prepare and update project timelines, budgets, donor contact lists, and key project documents.
- Coordinate and execute sponsor hospitality events and activations (including catering, processing expenses, and budget tracking) in partnership with relevant stakeholders.
- Oversee the timely collection and processing of contributions, including invoice requests, letters of acknowledgment, and tax valuations, working with relevant teams to maintain accurate donor records.
- Coordinate with Corporate Membership on benefit fulfillment for select Global Partners and sponsors, as well as assisting with select Corporate Membership initiatives as assigned.
- Prepare thorough, well-written, and ROI-driven final impact reports for Corporate Sponsors within the assigned portfolio.
- Support the Assistant Director, Corporate Development with additional stewardship, project management, and other Advancement initiatives as requested.
- Demonstrate commitment to the Guggenheim’s Diversity, Equity, Access, and Inclusion Action Plan, as well as the Sustainability Action Plan, by actively building opportunities for corporate support aligned with these institutional goals.
WORK DEMANDS & ENVIRONMENT
- Ability to travel within the metropolitan area as required to perform the above duties at any of the Guggenheim’s owned or leased properties upon request.
- Occasionally work may be conducted outdoors with exposure to varied weather conditions.
- Ability to work nights or weekends on occasion for the implementation of Corporate Development related events and meetings.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree with strong interest in arts and culture; M.A. or M.BA desirable.
