About the Job
As a Facilities Mechanical Engineer in Corvallis, OR, you'll be pivotal in projects enhancing our clients' manufacturing operations. Working closely with client owners in a dynamic environment, you'll establish design requirements and produce construction documents for installing complex manufacturing tools. Responsibilities include overseeing design for piping and ducting systems, ensuring efficient heating, cooling, exhaust, and chemical/gas processes for intricate tools in industrial facilities. You'll engage in retrofitting existing building systems to accommodate tool installation, performing engineering calculations, sizing equipment, and providing construction support.
As the mechanical representative on multidisciplinary design teams, you'll collaborate with Jacobs' design staff, client equipment owners, and manufacturers to develop utility requirement documents and installation design packages. You may provide technical training, quality check designs, and offer assistance in complex design phases. PE stamping responsibility for designs and direct interaction with clients and contractors for on-site construction may be part of your role.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from ABET Accredited University
- Six (6) years of practical experience in mechanical facilities engineering, including HVAC, hydronics, process piping, exhaust, plumbing, and related systems
- Completion of EIT/FE
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two (2) years of experience with complex semiconductor manufacturing tools, including manufacture, installation, or use in cleanrooms
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Oregon preferred, with active pursuit required
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Navisworks software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Forward-thinking, with a passion for learning and contributing innovative ideas
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams
- Two (2) years of field experience
