Our prestigious legal firm is seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Associate Employment Attorney to join our team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly motivated attorney with a strong interest in labor law and a passion for advocating for employee rights. You will be working alongside an accomplished team of attorneys, where you will handle a broad spectrum of employment-related matters. Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Associate Employment Attorney, you will be expected to:
1. Represent clients in all aspects of employment-related litigation including but not limited to discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour, and whistleblower claims.
2. Provide legal advice and guidance on a wide range of employment and labor law issues.
3. Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, severance agreements, and other employment-related documents.
4. Conduct thorough and objective internal investigations in response to employee complaints.
5. Develop and implement employment policies and procedures in compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
6. Provide training and seminars to clients on a variety of employment law topics.
7. Actively participate in professional organizations related to labor and employment law.
8. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation affecting clients and the operation of their businesses.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Associate Employment Attorney position will possess the following qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
3. A minimum of 3 years of experience as an employment attorney, focusing on plaintiff-side labor and employment law.
4. Strong litigation experience, including trial experience.
5. Excellent knowledge and understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
6. Exceptional negotiation skills and ability to resolve complex issues.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
9. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
10. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
11. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
12. Strong commitment to professional ethics and client confidentiality.
