About the role
The Associate Electrical Engineer will be a member of the Pack Development team focused on
developing next generation battery management solutions that will connect 24M's revolutionary
products to the high growth energy storage market. The team member will be instrumental in
embedded controller electronics hardware development ensuring that the technical support of
responsibility enables the team's success.
What you"ll do
- Design and development of electrical circuits for battery management systems and supporting test systems and interfaces.
- End to end support from concept design to validation and deployment, including design documentation and test plans and reports: requirements, architecture, specifications, simulations, schematic capture, printed circuit board layout, design reviews, development, DFMEA, validation, and system integration.
- Participation in formal and informal technical meetings with follow-up on assignments to closure including publication of minutes and actions when leading.
- Other roles include but are not limited to printed circuit board assembly and rework, breadboard assembly, circuit modifications, wire harness fabrication, troubleshooting of complex circuits, test execution, data collection, maintenance and service of laboratory equipment, maintenance of component and material inventory.
Qualifications
- Solid grounding in scientific and engineering fundamentals and methods, including signal integrity and electromagnetic compatibility (EMI/EMC).
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting acumen.
- Experience with essential instrumentation and equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, data analyzers).
- Familiarity with CAD tools for schematic capture, pcboard layout, and simulation (e.g., KiCad, Altium Designer).
- Experience with printed circuit board assembly methods and processes including advanced soldering techniques (e.g., pick-and-place machines, hot air rework stations, soldering irons) to install, repair, or replace surface-mount devices (SMDs) including fine-pitch ICs and chip components (e.g., 0402, 0201).
- Capable of working in machine shop environment and operating machinery w/proper training
- Proficiency with basic hand tools such as wrenches, rachets, saws, hammers, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.
- Ability to follow safety protocols.

- Embedded firmware/software and software application development experience a plus.
- Lithium-ion battery systems engineering experience a plus.
- High-voltage electrical systems integration and electrical isolation design experience a plus.
- Automotive CAN communication experience a plus.
