Position Summary:
The Associate Director Workday Solutions Architect position will enable and support business solutions across HCM (Human Capital Management) and Payroll with a core focus on business enablement, solution design, technical architecture, integrations, security support and stability of the Workday platform. This is a technical leadership role, and we are looking for candidates who have the right attitude, technical expertise, collaboration skills and competencies to be successful in a fast growing and dynamic environment managing multiple priorities at the same time.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into Workday solutions that align with organizational strategies. Design scalable, efficient, and innovative solutions leveraging Workday capabilities.
- Provide configuration consultation across Workday projects and production support. Provide configuration leadership and expertise in multiple modules in the Workday HCM suite (HCM Core, Recruiting Compensation, Absence, Talent and Performance, Onboarding, Time and Payroll) and Workday Security.
- Drive Security Governance and Management across all modules. Own architecture, design, and delivery of critical and complex security requirements.
- Work with partners, managed service, or internal resources to continuously improve Workday Integrations and its relevant processes by leveraging innovative and latest technology developments through new implementation and enhancements to existing ones. Ensure process and data flow integrity throughout the broad range of enterprise systems.
- Review functionality delivered in Workday releases to assess business impacts and opportunities for enhancements, drive new feature adoptions. Work with IT business partners to drive and consult on key business initiatives, enabled through new or existing functionality, and review new releases and products and integrate into the existing Workday footprint.
- Facilitate the change control process for enterprise systems, including assessing change impact, identifying test strategies, and completing documentation and approvals required by SOX controls, and in some cases GxP computer system validation processes.
- Partner with HR, finance and the broader G&A functions to ensure seamless integration between WD and other enterprise systems. Direct managed service provider resources to provide platform and project support; manage 3rd party vendor service deliveries.
Education and Experience:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems or an equivalent combination of relevant education and job experience.
- 12+ years of experience with Workday cloud enterprise applications.
- Excellent knowledge of the Workday HCM Suite; Proficiency in broad range of Workday modules: Recruiting, Onboarding, Benefit, Absence, Talent optimization, Comp and Advanced Comp, Time tracking, Payroll.
- Understanding of Workday Reporting, Business Process Frameworks, Security, Calculated Field and other Platform Areas.
- Extensive understanding of the end-to-end functional HR business processes.
- Have a deep insight of how system configuration impacts processes inside and outside of Workday.
- Excellent communicator (verbally and in writing), who collaborates effectively with users at all levels and varying technical ability.
- Ability to influence key stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems logically and systematically.
- Self-starter, self-motivated, able to work independently, prioritize effectively, and perform multiple tasks under minimal supervision.
Preferred:
- Workday certification highly desired but not required.
- Prior Biotech and/or Pharma experience highly desired.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Physical Activities: On a continuous basis, sit at desk for a long period of time; intermittently answer telephone and write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means. Some walking and lifting up to 25 lbs. may be required. The noise level in the work environment is typically low to moderate. Laboratory Activities (if applicable): Biology and chemical laboratory environment experience needed. Environmental health and safety requirements also apply.
Travel:
You may be required to travel for up to 5% of your time.
The Anticipated Base Salary Range: $153,000-$191,000
In addition to your base pay, our total rewards program consists of a discretionary annual target bonus, stock options, ESPP, and 401k match. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience and education. Crinetics Pharmaceuticals is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
