Position Summary
Lead efforts to increase college access, highlighting pathways for admission to NYU, and growing enrollment for historically underrepresented students. As a leader of the SPARKS Team (Supporting Pathways for Admission through Resources, Knowledge, and Support), raise awareness of NYU’s diverse academic and extracurricular opportunities to ensure that targeted prospective students have the resources and support that they need to navigate the admissions process. Manage a team of Access professionals. Develop innovative strategies to reach potential applicants, families, Community-Based Organizations (CBO) advisors, and counselors to educate them about the college admissions process and NYU. Lead the implementation of in-person and virtual programming, and analyze results to ensure access goals are met. Maintaining both internal and external relationships to support traditionally underrepresented populations in higher education. The Office of Undergraduate Admissions is committed to fostering a workforce that reflects the diversity of the students it serves. This is a three year fixed term position.Qualifications
Required Education:Bachelor's DegreeRequired Experience:5+ years relevant professional level experience in an admissions or equivalent combination. Must include experience in advising/counseling, project leadership/management, diversity recruitment, college access, student success and/or community-based organizations.Preferred Experience:5+ years Experience in a project team leadership role and with Slate or other CRM administration preferred.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills. Ability to market the University independently, provide leadership within a team, multi-task, manage a large volume of work within a set amount of time, work collaboratively and meet project deadlines. Extensive travel and weekend hours required. Valid driver's license required upon hiring. Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet, and database software. Strong data fluency required. A background in diversity recruitment, college access, or community-based organizations is desirable.Additional Information
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $87,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
