The Role
The Associate Director, Proteomics Marketing Programs, will be responsible for the development and execution of marketing strategies targeted at the biopharma and/or academic sector in Proteomics. This role requires a deep understanding of that sector's market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, product management, and research, to drive demand and position our products and services. This position will focus on downstream activities, including product launches, market penetration, customer engagement, and brand development.
Responsibilities & Goals
- Campaign Execution: Oversee the development and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns (digital, content marketing, trade shows, webinars) to drive demand and increase brand awareness within the vertical.
- Target Audience Engagement: Develop tailored marketing plans to engage key customer segments in biotech, including researchers, biopharma companies, and academic institutions.
- Market Strategy Development: Lead the creation of marketing strategies and specific vertical campaigns. Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitive landscapes to inform positioning and messaging.
- Product Launches: Manage and execute comprehensive launch strategies for new products, working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure successful launches.
- Collaboration with Sales: Partner with the sales team to develop effective go-to-market strategies, sales enablement tools, and customer engagement activities that align with marketing efforts.
- Content Creation: Develop and oversee the creation of compelling content (white papers, case studies, presentations) that speaks to the needs and challenges of this audience.
- Budget Management: Manage the marketing budget for biotech-specific campaigns and programs, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and achieving ROI goals.
- Performance Analysis: Track, measure, and report on the performance of marketing initiatives, using data-driven insights to optimize campaign effectiveness.
- Industry Networking: Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, industry associations, and other stakeholders in the biotech space to enhance brand visibility and thought leadership.
Background & Qualifications
- BS or BA required, major in business, marketing or communications preferred. MBA preferred.
- 12+ years of progressive Marketing & Commercial experience in Product Marketing, Content Marketing, Market Development/Commercial Expansion
- Strong written, oral and interpersonal skills
- Collaborative work ethic; must be a self-starter and persistent in achieving objectives and meeting deadlines.
- Must work well in a small team setting while fostering a positive work environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other related software.
- Ensure all strategies, plans, and tactics are aligned with legal and compliance requirements.
At Seer, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between 180,000 and 200,000 and will depend on the candidates education, skills, qualifications, experience, and location. This position is also eligible for bonus, benefits, and participation in Company's stock option plan.
