Position Overview
The Associate Director of Recruitment will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic recruitment initiatives, with a focus on creative and design-oriented students. This role requires a unique blend of skills, combining the precision of a coach's playbook with the creativity of a designer's portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment Strategy
- Develop and execute innovative recruitment strategies to attract talented students in business and design fields.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling recruitment materials and campaigns.
- Implement data-driven approaches to optimize recruitment efforts and track key performance indicators.
- Develop and implement inclusive recruitment strategies that actively support diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring all prospective students feel welcomed and represented.
- Establish clear performance metrics, such as application conversion rates and event engagement, to assess the effectiveness of recruitment initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
Outreach and Relationship Building
- Foster relationships with high schools, community colleges, and relevant organizations to build a strong pipeline of potential students.
- Coordinate and participate in recruitment events, college fairs, and campus visits.
- Develop and maintain an alumni outreach program to leverage their networks and experiences in recruitment efforts.
- Foster collaborations with local Detroit businesses, design studios, and community organizations to create opportunities for alumni to engage in recruitment and networking efforts.
CRM & SIS Management
- Utilize and optimize Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems to manage prospective student data and communications.
- Manage and optimize the Student Information System (SIS) to ensure accurate tracking of applicant data, seamless enrollment processes, and efficient communication with prospective students.
- Train and support team members in effective use of CRM tools for recruitment purposes.
- Utilize CRM tools to keep alumni informed about volunteer opportunities and track their engagement to ensure personalized outreach.
- Leverage emerging technologies and data analytics tools to enhance recruitment strategies, streamline communications, and improve prospective student engagement.
Creative Recruitment Initiatives
- Design and implement unique recruitment programs that showcase PLC's innovative approach to education.
- Incorporate elements of sports, art, and design into recruitment strategies to appeal to our target student demographic.
- Develop a structured alumni volunteer program where former students can participate in recruitment events, mentorship, and campus visits to inspire the next generation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Education, or a related field
- 5-7 years of experience in college recruitment or a similar role
- Strong understanding of CRM systems and data-driven recruitment strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Creativity and ability to think outside the box in developing recruitment initiatives
- Passion for education, design, and empowering diverse student populations
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $85,000 to $107,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. PLC offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, and paid time off.
