In this role, you'll be responsible for the completion and the successful transfer of all required activities for the new products developed or optimized by the Product Development Department for Laboratory Operations commercialization, ensure supply chain is maintained to support Laboratory Operations and oversight of the safety compliance of Facilities, related to infrastructure and instrumentation. The incumbent must be knowledgeable of all current instrumentation, techniques involving DNA/RNA extractions, PCR and RT-PCR reactions, and DNA sequencing Next-Generation. Immediate opening for an Associate Director of Operations, Cancer Diagnostics in Orange County who possesses:
- Bachelors degree
- 6 to 8 years of technical support management experience (5 years at a Manager/Supervisor level) in a high-volume support environment preferred.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment and consistently delivering projects on or before expected due dates.
- Experience preparing and writing demonstrations, proposals, policies, procedures, job descriptions, and schedules.
- Experience with LIMS systems, ISO quality management systems and lab automation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Directs administrative processes for Technical Support, Supply Chain and Facilities, as relating to resources, reagents, consumables, quality control, safety, instrumentation, and facilities planning.
- Collaborates with Laboratory Operations Management to ensure safety and compliance is adhered within Laboratory, and all instrumentation is maintained and in operable working condition.
- Directs the Equipment Team to ensure all preventive maintenance and calibration tasks are performed and documentation completed within the established timeframe including, but not limited to: IQ/OQ/PQ, equipment identification and labeling, equipment maintenance, equipment repairs and performance verification, equipment relocation and calibration verification, equipment decommissioning (including storage/disposal), review of equipment vendor documents, and equipment training.
- Directs Facilities to collaborate with company departments to ensure buildings are maintained and in working order.
- Directs supply chain personnel in managing inventory supply and ensuring supply chain is maintained.
- Manages all supply agreements and collaborates with Quality Systems regarding quality agreements involving critical vendors and applicable deviation and/or NCMR documentation.
- Capable of handling complex issues and solving problems with minimal guidance.
- Knowledgeable of applicable regulatory guidelines and can independently develop, write, and execute methods, protocols, reports, and other related documents.
- Participates in complex projects and leads continuous improvement efforts.
- Oversees under the direction of the Laboratory Director or technical supervisor, technical documents, QC performance indicators and procedures and protocols/reports.
