Harbor Health is seeking a talented Associate Director of Dental Services to join our Dental Leadership Team. Harbor Health operates 4 Dental Clinics located in Boston, Plymouth, Hyannis and Dennis, MA (Geiger Gibson Community Health Center, Harbor Community Health Center-Plymouth, Ellen Jones Community Dental Center and Harbor Community Health Center-Hyannis.)
This position will be based out of our Hyannis and Dennis Dental locations and will be overseeing those locations.

Role:
The Associate Director of Dental Services works with the Director of Dental Services and the Administrative Director of Dental Operations and Quality to provide clinical leadership and administrative support to the HHSI Dental team. The Associate Director spends approximately half of their work time as a practicing dentist and may practice in both the Community Health Centers and Elder Service Plan/PACE programs. Administratively, the Associate Director works in concert with the Dental leadership team to manage and develop the dental practices.
Responsibilities:
Provides direct, comprehensive Dental care to patients.
Assists in the supervision of Limited Licensed Dentists, Hygienists, and other clinical staff as assigned; including Residents and students.
Serves as the acting Dental Director per regulations, in the absence of the Director of Dental Services.
Provides feedback and collaboration on department quality improvement initiatives, policy and protocol development, strategic planning.
Champions the clinical peer review process.
Supports the management of the department budget.
Aids in the timely resolution of patient concerns.
Completes review of clinical training for new provider-level clinical staff.
Conducts clinical audits as assigned.
May represent the dental department on assigned committees or advocacy groups as assigned by the Executive Director.
During emergency operations may be required to report to and/or remain at work.
Requirements:
DMD or DDS degree from an accredited college or university, fully licensed
Master of Public Health preferred
Current Massachusetts (Full) Dental License, Current DEA, Current MCSR, current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS)
3 or more years as a dentist with at least one year in a supervisor/management role
A completed residency may substitute for 2 years of experience
Knowledge of electronic dental practice systems, EPIC/OCHIN desired
Experience with dental coding and billing practices
Proven knowledge of budgets and accounting
Proven training capabilities
Basic to intermediate skills with Microsoft Office 365 particularly: Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams
Must be able to travel in a timely manner between Harbor Health sites
