The College of Health and Public Service (HPS) at the University of North Texas, distinguished as one of the few Tier One research universities designated as a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI), prepares graduates to address diverse and complex social issues such as aging, disability, disaster management and recovery, criminal justice, health disparities, and public safety, and find solutions to challenges in public administration, public health, and urban design. HPS students are trained to lead nonprofits, become educators, researchers and professionals who strengthen the diverse communities we serve, with thoughtful, inclusive, and equitable practices as audiologists, behavior analysts, city managers, emergency managers, health care administrators, public safety administrators, public health specialists, rehabilitation counselors, speech language pathologists, social workers, urban planners, and more.
UNT WISE is the premier training and consultancy group for programs seeking to enhance employment outcomes for individuals with disabilities. We conduct training, host conferences and provide technical assistance to community rehabilitation programs (CRP) and organizations serving individuals with disabilities. UNT WISE provides more than 100 training events, serving more than 2,300 individuals, annually.
Position Overview
This position is responsible for oversight of a project. Duties include program planning and development, monitoring of program/project activities including marketing, curriculum development, assessment and community outreach.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in related field and four years of professional related experience; substitute education for experience only.

- Thorough knowledge of program related state and federal laws and regulations.
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations orally and in writing.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.

Job Duties:
Training:
- Provide training for rehabilitation personnel, consumers with disabilities and rehabilitation stakeholders within specified timeframes and in designated format (online, in-person, webinar, etc.).
- Plan, develop and produce course/training material specific for projects including CRP training, the employment of persons with disabilities, Assistive Technology/accessibility and pre-employment training services for students with disabilities per contract/grant/director requirements.
- Serve as information resource on current best practices in areas related to employment for people with disabilities, assistive technology and accessibility.
Administrative:
- Disseminate information about UNT WISE programming at conferences, community events, etc.
- Develop strategic alliances within the community including UNT to promote collaboration around programs and research.
- Identify and coordinate with subject matter experts/trainers to develop continuing education credits (webinars) and assist with special projects as needed.
- Complete programmatic reports as required within timeframes.
Special Projects:
- Plan, organize and participate in special projects as assigned by Director.
