Essential Functions
Solutions Architect:
- Designs data architecture and processes to enhance information management.
- Collaborates with AWS and partners to implement discovery systems.
- Aligns with Infrastructure and Security Architects on enterprise standards.
- Manages the R&D Discovery IT technology roadmap.
- Communicates designs to IT and business stakeholders.
- Participates in architectural design and integration deliverables.
- Researches and recommends efficient technology solutions.
- May code or modify programs and integrate solutions.
- Adheres to corporate standards and policies.
- Delivers projects on time and manages team priorities.
- Engages with users to ensure project alignment with needs.
Organizational Leadership:
- Leads a technical architecture team for discovery IT systems.
- Interviews and selects technical resources for Big Data projects.
- Coaches teams on technical concepts and system functionality.
Requirements
- Work Experience and Education
- 10+ years in a data-driven research environment.
- 15+ years in IT, with 5+ years in solutions architecture.
- Experience with AWS and data management tools.
- Strong security mindset and passion for innovative technology.
- Degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
