Title: Associate Director – Data Science
Location: Hybrid within the Northeastern or Southeastern Region
Description:
The Associate Director of Data Science will leverage advanced statistical analysis and modeling to generate insights that shape strategic communication, predict trends, and understand target audiences. This role requires expertise in data-driven research, client engagement, and the development of innovative data science solutions. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment and demonstrates strong leadership and client-facing skills.
Responsibilities:
Conduct and deliver high-quality, data-driven research studies, from developing methodologies to analyzing results and presenting key insights.
Manage client relationships and oversee research assignments as a trusted partner.
Lead meetings and deliver compelling presentations to senior-level colleagues and clients.
Tailor research solutions to meet specific objectives, audience needs, and resources.
Craft narratives that uncover the "why" behind behaviors and trends to inform strategic decisions.
Monitor industry trends and client objectives to proactively address evolving needs.
Develop new data-driven research products and contribute to client offerings.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, contributing to the growth of the organization.
Mentor and coach junior team members to support their professional development.
Participate in thought leadership activities and contribute to annual business planning.
Required Skills:
7–9 years of experience, preferably in communications, public relations, or advertising.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Math, or Data Science.
Proficiency in digital and social media research tools (e.g., Talkwalker, Brandwatch, Audiense, Meltwater).
Experience with statistical and analytical programs (e.g., Python, R, SPSS).
Ability to write complex Boolean queries for advanced data searches.
Strong analytical, writing, and presentation skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Proven experience managing budgets and leading individuals or teams.
Entrepreneurial spirit with a collaborative mindset.

Pay range: $91k-130k/year
