Location: Ridgefield, CT

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated and experienced Associate Director to lead the development and implementation of channel strategies for pharmaceutical product distribution. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a leading global healthcare company and contribute to ensuring that patients have timely access to essential therapies.

Responsibilities:

• Channel Strategy Development: Lead the development and implementation of channel strategies for product distribution, ensuring alignment with the product value proposition and addressing the evolving marketplace to maximize access and profitability.
• Collaboration and Analysis: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute distribution analytics, modeling the financial impact of distribution service agreements and ensuring alignment with governance bodies.
• Partner Evaluation and Selection: Evaluate potential distribution partners in collaboration with product and brand teams, and execute RFI and RFP activities to select the best partners.
• Contract Negotiation: Develop service level agreements and negotiate distribution contracts, ensuring alignment with product and patient needs, including data agreements and patient services.
• Fair Market Value Assessment: Lead the evaluation and development of fair market value (FMV) assessments with global sourcing and strategic partners to support appropriate pricing and fee structures.
• Data Strategy and Monitoring: Collaborate with internal teams to establish a customer data strategy and utilize dashboards to track key metrics related to prescription fulfillment.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to all applicable policies, procedures, and regulations, including those related to price discrimination, anti-kickback statutes, and anti-bribery/anti-corruption laws.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Develop strong working relationships with various internal departments, including Market Access, Finance, Legal, Pricing and Contracting, Marketing, and Sales, to maximize product success, compliance, and profitability.
• Market Analysis: Continuously monitor market trends and adapt strategies to accommodate evolving conditions.
• Relationship Management: Act as a liaison between brand teams, Trade National Account Directors, and the Access and Reimbursement team.
• Distribution Model Development: Develop and manage the distribution model to support the growth of the product portfolio and ensure efficient delivery of therapies to patients.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • BA/BS degree from an accredited institution is required.
  • MBA from an accredited institution is preferred.
• Experience:
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in market access.
  • 3+ years of contracting experience.
  • 2+ years of program management or account management experience.
  • 3+ years of leadership and/or project management experience with demonstrated ability to lead projects to implementation.
  • 3+ years of experience with both retail and specialty pharmacy preferred.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of trade operations, specialty distribution, and specialty pharmacy industry processes.
• Knowledge of critical aspects of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements.
• Ability to build relationships and expand the company's presence with wholesalers, distributors, and specialty pharmacies.
• Ability to monitor trading partners and market shifts to anticipate and adapt strategies.
• Demonstrated agility, accountability, and intrapreneurship.
