Job Title: Associate Director (Project Management/Hospitality)
Location: Chicago
Salary: $150,000 per annum plus bonus, healthcare and other benefits. Plus relocation costs will be provided for those looking at relocation.
Fortiva are delighted to be partnering with an established boutique consultancy firm in Chicago to help recruit them a new Associate Director for their Project Management Division. The newly minted role has come about due to them winning a large scale project that will consist of a top to bottom redevelopment of a hotel complex with over a 1000 rooms whilst also working on smaller key projects.
As Associate Director you will be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle, ensuring that projects are completed on time and to the highest standards. This is a key opportunity in the newly established team offering the opportunity to work on prestigious hotel projects and further develop our growing portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee multiple hotel development projects from inception to completion, including feasibility studies, design coordination, procurement, construction, and handover.
- Act us the fundamental lynchpin between general contractor and end user ensuring all queries, concerns are addressed in the best manner.
- Manage a dynamic team of project managers providing guidance, training and mentorship.
- Coordinate with key stakeholders including architects, engineers, contractors, and local authorities to ensure smooth project execution and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and manage project budgets and taking action to rectify any issues whilst identifying areas for improvement and sensible cost saving.
- Contribute to business development initiatives by identifying opportunities for new projects and cultivating relationships with potential clients.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in project management, specifically within the hotel or hospitality sector.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with experience managing project management and cost management teams.
- Sound understanding of project management methodologies, construction processes, and contract administration.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
