#1814 Associate Director, Accounting-SOX
The Associate Director of Accounting – SOX will lead the overall Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) compliance process of internal control over financial reporting (ICFR) within the organization. This position will also be involved in process documentation, development of risk and control matrices, narratives, and flowcharts. The SOX Compliance will work closely with the various business functions and support them in the testing activities, by acting as a liaison between control owners and control testing team.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and coordinate the ICFR annual process documentation updates
• Deliver training for ICFR SOX requirements and methodology to the different business area and control owners within the organization, in addition to any group trainings/initiatives
• Effectively contribute to process improvement initiatives across the organization
• Support business / control owners in the fulfillment of the support requests for control testing
• Ensure alignment on issues with SOX process/control owners, escalating as necessary.
• Act as a liaison between process/control owners team and external auditor.
• Support and coordinate remediation action plan for identified deficiencies.
• Manage and execute special projects, as assigned
• Support management on the coordination of relationships within the with ICT SOX & internal/external providers for all the activities connected to ICFR testing.
• Implementation of best practices, process and efficiency improvements and global standardization of the ICFR testing program
• Mentor and develop a team of accounting professionals, providing leadership, supervision and support to drive high-performance and professional development.
• Maintain confidentiality when accessing personal information of consumers, including, but not limited to, Social Security numbers and dates of birth.
