Westwin localizes America"s critical mineral supply chain with the development of a precursor cathode active material (pCAM) production facility, integrated with the US" first major nickel refinery, also producing cobalt and manganese secondary products. While the US hosts no commercial nickel refining or pCAM production today, these materials must onshore to solve the crisis of our near total dependency on foreign adversaries: a national security, environmental, and economic crisis.
About the role
Westwin Elements is seeking an experienced Associate Corporate Counsel to provide legal expertise for our groundbreaking nickel refinery operations. This individual will play a key role in advising on corporate governance, contracts, compliance, and regulatory matters, ensuring the company"s legal interests are safeguarded in a dynamic, high-tech industrial environment.
What you"ll do
- Support internal departments on contractual matters.
- Collaboratively works with business teams and other external members of the legal team to support contracts, regulatory matters, and employment matters.
- Manages company's regulatory data from clients, suppliers, partners, shareholders, and capital partners. (Includes management of the company's virtual data room)
- Monitors legal and regulatory issues and identifies trends and risks.
- Develops intercompany working relationships so that legal workflows, standard operating procedures, and work product are tailored to meet the needs of respective teammates.
- Supports General Counsel with all legal and regulatory matters.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience with commercial contracts and corporate work
- Experience with corporate data management.
- Experience with calendaring and delivering within allocated timelines.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization.
- A JD from an accredited law school with an active license to practice law in Oklahoma.
