Job Description:
The Channel Marketing Team is responsible serving as liaison between sales managers, key distributor customers, and internal teams to drive sales growth and product expansion within Milwaukee Tool’s sales channels. We collaborate with account managers to implement and monitor strategies to drive increased product placement and sell-through, including product positioning, retail price strategy, forecasting and promotions, planogram placements, and digital and retail merchandising. We utilize sales and product data to analyze and assess impact of various initiatives, measure results, and assist with future strategy.
Your Role on Our Team
The primary function of this position is to develop and commercialize sales and marketing programs for the battery/charger, portable power, and rotary hammer product portfolios within targeted distribution channels and to support channel-specific business growth opportunities.
You’ll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:
+ Product Category(s) leader for promotions & new product commercialization
+ Work with Channel Marketing members to identify, develop, commercialize and implement national programs for your product categories (special packaging, promotions, events, marketing materials, flyers, brochures and displays).
+ Support Channel & Product team to develop and execute launch plans and marketing strategies for new product introductions/launches within your product categories
+ Collect/develop and analyze sales reports and market feedback from internal sources, customer feedback, and other sources to identify key issues, trends, opportunities and market share growth/decline for use in marketing and sales planning purposes.
+ Assist and develop Point of Purchase material and displays to increase sales at the customer level.
+ Work with Channel Team and Field Sales to gain knowledge of customer interaction and sales process.
+ Assist in the development of annual business plan for channel/customer. Conduct competitive market analysis to formulate recommendations for channel plan including advertising and promotional strategies.
+ Directly contribute to forecasting and budgeting processes with supply, demand, and finance counterparts to aid operational planning needs for category programs and initiatives.
The TOOLS you’ll bring with you:
+ Requires a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing, or Business.
+ Minimum 2 years experience in a sales, and/or marketing.
+ Highly organized and very strong, proven project management skills.
+ Sound analytical skills and acute attention to details. Strong communication skills, persuasive and able to effectively communicate ideas.
+ Proficiency in PC skills including MS Office and Internet usage is required.
+ Ability to travel 30% of time.
