Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Procurement the Associate Buyer is responsible for the day-to-day purchasing of materials, equipment and supplies taking into account cost, quality and timeliness. They will also be assisting other Buyers in the team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Analyze, calculate and monitor inventory levels.
- Place and purchase materials in line with company needs.
- Timely and effective communication of forecasts and purchase orders to vendors
- Develop and maintain good vendor relationships.
- Collaborate with internal departments when vendor issues arise.
- Partner with other team members to provide purchasing support.
- Complete assigned reports and special projects.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; or an Associate degree required and 1 - 3 years of related experience preferred.
- High level of computer literacy, to include Word, Excel and Outlook
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work with others
- Ability to complete purchase orders, schedules and assigned reports.
