We are actively seeking a seasoned Permanent Associate Attorney specializing in Worker's Compensation to join our dynamic legal team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on complex and challenging cases, providing legal support and representation to clients who have suffered injuries at work. The successful candidate will be a part of a highly skilled team, managing a diverse caseload while working in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
Responsibilities:
As an Associate Attorney, you will be expected to handle a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:
1. Providing legal representation to clients in worker's compensation cases, ensuring their rights are protected and they receive the benefits they are entitled to.
2. Conducting extensive legal research and analysis to prepare for case hearings and trials.
3. Drafting, reviewing, and filing legal documents, pleadings, motions, briefs, and appeals.
4. Negotiating settlements on behalf of clients and representing them in court hearings and trials.
5. Collaborating with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure effective case management.
6. Staying updated with changes in laws and regulations related to worker's compensation and using this knowledge to advise clients and shape legal strategies.
7. Providing counsel and advice to clients on matters related to worker's compensation and insurance coverage.
8. Working closely with insurance companies to ensure clients receive appropriate coverage and benefits.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience as an attorney specializing in worker's compensation.
3. Active member of the Georgia State Bar in good standing.
4. Proven experience in law and motion practice, insurance coverage, and worker's compensation.
5. Strong understanding of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, and government regulations related to worker's compensation.
6. Exceptional negotiation skills, with a proven track record of successful settlement negotiations.
7. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal issues in a clear, concise, and persuasive manner.
8. Strong research and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
9. Ability to manage a large caseload, meet tight deadlines, and work well under pressure.
10. High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
11. Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
