Our client is actively recruiting for a tax attorney to join their Washington D.C. offices. The opportunity is with a well renowned midsized law firm that specializes in complex litigation for bankruptcy, tax law (domestic and international), insolvencies, corporate litigation, political law, and other complex financial and commercial disputes.
We are seeking attorneys with strong academic credentials from a top law school, substantive tax knowledge, and 1-4 years of relevant experience in tax controversy or litigation practice. Candidates with an LLM in Tax or prior experience working as a CPA or with the IRS and DOJ tax division are encouraged to apply. The incoming attorney will join a dynamic team of tax attorneys and provide meaningful contributions in litigation for a diverse mix of complex tax law matters. Some job responsibilities will include:
This role will provide the opportunity to work before the IRS examination function and IRS Independent Office of Appeals and to have direct client interaction. All interested candidates must have strong academic credentials and exceptional written and oral advocacy skills. This is a full-time position with strong base compensation and bonuses, relocation assistance as needed, hybrid schedule, generous bonuses, comprehensive healthcare benefits, PTO, and a 401k program with a match.
