A bit about us:
We are a boutique debt collection and subrogation law firm serving the space coast for over 30 years. Our attorneys specialize in auto and property damage subrogation as well as credit card and collections recovery. We are looking to add a 1+ year litigation associate to our subrogation team to work full time in our Cocoa office. Subrogation experience is required and transactional debt collection is preferred. This is a full-time in office position that will require some local travel.

We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation and depositions, and a proven track record of successfully managing subrogation claims. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex cases, interact with clients, and contribute to our firm's success. As an onsite team member, you will be part of a collaborative work environment where your skills and expertise will be highly valued.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage all aspects of subrogation claims, from initial investigation through settlement or litigation.
2. Conduct thorough and detailed legal research to support case preparation.
3. Draft, review, and revise legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, trials, and settlement agreements.
4. Represent the firm in court proceedings, mediations, and negotiations.
5. Conduct depositions of witnesses and experts.
6. Collaborate with team members to develop effective case strategies.
7. Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
8. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current laws, regulations, and industry standards related to subrogation.
9. Ensure compliance with all legal standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the Florida State Bar.
3. Minimum of 1 years of experience in subrogation litigation
4. Proven experience managing subrogation claims.
5. Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills.
6. Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
7. Ability to manage multiple cases and projects, with a keen attention to detail.
8. High level of professionalism and integrity.
9. Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
10. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
11. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
12. Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
