We are seeking a dynamic, forward-thinking Permanent Associate Attorney to join our team. This position offers a unique opportunity to be involved in challenging, high-stakes cases across a broad spectrum of legal disciplines. The successful candidate will be a crucial player in our legal team, working alongside experienced attorneys to provide superior legal services to our clients. Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Associate Attorney, your duties will include but are not limited to:
1. Conducting thorough and detailed legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
2. Drafting, reviewing, and editing a wide range of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and agreements.
3. Representing clients in court, presenting evidence, and making compelling arguments in their defense.
4. Managing all aspects of civil and commercial litigation, including pre-trial preparation, discovery, settlement negotiations, trial, and post-trial proceedings.
5. Advising clients on legal issues related to employment law, insurance litigation, partnership disputes, and contract disputes.
6. Collaborating closely with partners, associates, and support staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality legal services.
7. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of current laws, court decisions, and industry trends to provide accurate and relevant legal advice.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Permanent Associate Attorney role, you must have:
1. Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
3. A minimum of 2 years of experience as an attorney in a law firm, corporate legal department, or similar setting.
4. Proven experience in legal research, legal writing, litigation, civil litigation, commercial litigation, employment law, insurance litigation, partnership disputes, and contract disputes.
5. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex legal concepts in a clear, concise, and persuasive manner.
7. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
8. High degree of professional ethics, integrity, and confidentiality.
9. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
10. Proficiency in using legal research software and other standard office software.
