Salary: $160,000 - $210,000 per year
A bit about us:
Our office is located in Santa Rosa, California in the historic Railroad Square and our office is in a century-old brick building which is walkable to many restaurants, shops, and the SMART train station. We are a multidisciplinary firm for clients in the wine, cannabis, alcohol beverage, and hemp industries with our deep regulatory expertise and an experienced team of attorneys and non-attorney staff. Our core practice areas are regulatory compliance, administrative law corporate, transactional, intellectual property, and litigation.

Job Details
Responsibilities and Duties
Review case files and assess legal and factual issues for discovery, motion, trial, and settlement purposes
Prepare and respond to demand letters
Draft and respond to pleadings
Be highly proficient with all discovery tools and able to effectively propound and respond to discovery
Draft and argue motions
Appear regularly in court proceedings
Maintain accurate calendar for court dates, filing and response deadlines, and other events relevant to the practice
Take and defend depositions
Manage relationships with clients, court personnel's, colleagues, and opposing counsels
Work with legal support staff to effectuate client needs
Qualifications:
Active member of the California State Bar
Minimum of 5+ years prior experience in litigation
Self-starter with the ability to multi-task, take and provide direction, as applicable, with other firm members
Be results and deadline oriented
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Finely tuned analytical skills and the ability to interpret and analyze a multitude of documents including pleadings, client communications, and a variety of legal documents
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a collaborative work environment
Have valid California driver's license with ability to drive to court and other events
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access), Gmail, MacOS, Rapid Legal, DISCO, TrialPad, One Legal; ability to learn Case Management and Document Management systems
