Our law firm is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated and experienced Associate Attorney with an interest in Employment Law. This is a unique opportunity to join a well-respected, thriving legal firm, offering a chance to work directly with a diverse range of clients and handle complex employment law matters.
Responsibilities
As a Permanent Associate Attorney, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Representing clients in all aspects of employment law matters including wrongful termination, employment discrimination, wage and hour disputes, and workers' compensation claims.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating employment contracts, severance agreements, and non-compete agreements.
- Providing legal advice to clients on a wide range of employment issues such as employee discipline, layoffs, and employee leaves of absence.
- Conducting legal research and preparing legal memoranda on various employment law issues.
- Representing clients before state and federal courts, administrative agencies, and arbitration panels.
- Developing case strategies and representing the client in trials, hearings, arbitrations, and mediations.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations to provide accurate legal advice to clients.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships through excellent customer service and legal counsel.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience
- Admission to the state bar where practicing.
- Excellent negotiation, advocacy, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong legal research and writing skills.
- Proven ability to manage a large caseload and juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to develop case strategies and deliver strong results for clients.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- A deep commitment to professionalism, ethical conduct, and providing high-quality legal services to clients.
