Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case development and strategy.
- Actively participate in all aspects of litigation including drafting pleadings, discovery, attending depositions, hearings, and mediations.
- Manage a diverse case load, ensuring all cases are progressing and meeting deadlines.
- Make regular court appearances to argue motions and represent clients.
- Work closely with partners to develop case strategies, conduct legal research, and prepare legal documents.
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients, ensuring their legal rights are protected and the best possible outcome is achieved.
- Ensure all actions, procedures, and documentation comply with applicable laws and regulations.
- Develop expertise in prosecuting commercial, consumer, and health care fraud matters.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school required.
- Must possess a valid Texas Bar License.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an attorney, preferably in litigation.
- Proven experience with legal research, litigation, attending depositions, hearings, and mediations.
- Strong ability to research and analyze legal issues, and to present clear and logical arguments both in writing and verbally.
- Demonstrated experience managing a diverse case load and making court appearances.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work closely with partners and clients.
- Proven expertise in prosecuting commercial, consumer, and health care fraud matters is a plus.
- Knowledge of legal compliance and corporate governance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask.
- Demonstrated ability to provide sound legal advice and to exercise sound judgment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
